Wille Mae Spraggins Dillard, 96 of New Haven, Connecticut, formerly of Roanoke, Virginia died peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Jerry Dillard. Mrs. Dillard was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 30, 1923, a daughter of the late Mitchell and Irene Hall Spraggins and had live most of her life in Roanoke before moving to New Haven fifteen years ago. She was a teacher's aid in the Roanoke Public School System for forty five years, retiring in 1988, and was the oldest living member of St. Paul Methodist Church of Roanoke. Mrs. Dillard is survived by her daughter Jerri Ann Craggett Barber of New Haven, five grandchildren, Trina Craggett, Keiah Brown and Kenya Harvey of Roanoke, and Lisa Craggett and Nichelle Barber of New Haven, eleven great grandchildren, a niece, Wanda Gail Spraggins of Charlotte, North Carolina, her special friend Karen Butler of New Haven, and a host of cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Keith Anthony Dillard, her brother, Theodore Spraggins, and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Jason Craggett. Funeral services for Mrs. Dillard will be held in Roanoke at a later date.
