Walter Angel Mirabal, 42 of New Haven, Connecticut died suddenly in Ft. Meyers, FL on Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Jasmin (Ramos) Mirabal.
Walter was born on October 24, 1983 at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx, New York, a son of Jackeline Torres of New Haven and the late Walter Mirabal. He then resided in both Orlando, FL and New Haven for several years, before returning to New Haven four years ago. He was employed as a chemist at the MacDermid Ethrone Co. of West Haven.
From a young age, and throughout his teenage years, Walter dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player. He played the sport for over fifteen years, showing dedication and passion both on and off the field.
Walter also had a deep love for music and dance, finding joy in movement and rhythm wherever he went. In addition to his athletic talents, he achieved the rank of brown belt in karate, reflecting his discipline and commitment.
As he grew into adulthood, Walter devoted himself to his wife, children, and family. He cherished time spent with loved ones, especially during family gatherings, which became a central part of his life. Walter always strived to be a positive role model and a source of strength and inspiration to those around him.
In addition to his beloved wife Jasmin, Walter leaves behind his cherished children Milachi Mirabal, Elyjah Mirabal, Walter A. Mirabal, Jr. Jayquan Jackson, and Monica Jackson all of Orlando, FL, Daniel "Junior" Rodríguez, Jaevon Rodríguez, Alayah Ramos and Khloe Miller of New Haven of New Haven, and Dayjah Santiago of New York City, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carlos and Marcia Ramos of Ft. Meyers, one sister, Mary (Efrain) Rosado of Tampa, FL, four brothers, Cruz Quiñones and Jovan (Ingrid) Mirabal of New Haven and Lucas (Sophia) Mirabal and Gabriel Mirabal of Orlando, and a loving circle of family and friends who wil forever hold him in their hearts.
Walter's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, April 12th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place during visitation time. A brief prayer service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, April 13th followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T.
