Victoria Tobar de Aquino, 87 of New Haven died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Maximiliano Aquino. Victoria was born in Ahuachapán, El Salvador on May 13, 1937, a daughter of the late Alberto Galicia and the late Petrona Tobar. She is survived by six daughters, Reina Aquino and Ana Aquino of New Haven, Irene (José Clemente) Aquino and Transito Aquino of Ahuachapán, Mercedes Aquino of Iowa and Elizabeth (Ovidio Herrera) Aquino of Meriden, three sons, Romeo (Vilma) Aquino of Ahuachapán, José Aquino and Nery Aquino of East Hartford, three sisters, Teresa (Rigoberto Aguilar) Tobar, Antonia Tobar and Adela Tobar of Ahuachapán, one brother, Ricardo (Rita Velázquez) Tobar of Ahuachapán, twenty nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by two sons, Carlos and Salvador Aquino, and one brother, Francisco Tobar. Victoria's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 2nd from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
