Vera Mae (Hadden) Candela

Vera Mae Candela, 90, of Branford, CT died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice, Branford on Sunday, September 17, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Candela, Jr. Vera was born in New Haven, CT on November 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Hadden and had lived in Branford since 2005. She had previously resided in East Haven for several years, and New Haven for most of her life. Vera is survived by her daughter Lillian Cooney and her husband John Cooney of North Haven, her son Ralph Candela, III and his fiancée Pam Afragola of Wallingford, and three grandchildren, David Candela, Stacie Candela and Shelby Candela and her husband Zachary McKeon. She was predeceased by her daughter Joyce Candela.
