Timothy “Timmy” Alberto Rivera, 32, of Hamden, CT died suddenly at Yale-New Haven Hospital, York St. Campus on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Timmy was born in New Haven, CT on April 2, 1992, a son of Richard J. Rivera of Hamden. He grew up in New Haven, attended Wilbur Cross High School, and had lived in Hamden for the past fourteen years. Timmy was a cook at the New Haven Lawn Club for the past three years, and previously enjoyed working at Splash Car Wash, West Haven and the New Haven Flea Market. He was a video gamer, loved being surrounded by family and friends, and had a passion for Anime cartoon characters. No matter where Timmy went everyone felt his love and joy. He was a jokester and had an infectious laugh. Timmy is also survived by his daughter Haley Noble of New Haven, his aunt Lydia Rivera of Hamden who raised him as her son, sister Tiffany D. Rivera of New Haven, three brothers José Murphy and Antonio J. Rivera of Hamden and Jonathan A. Rivera of East Haven, niece Nevaeah Lagarez, nephews Elijah Rivera, Liandel José Rivera, Jonathan Rivera, Jr. and Kayden Murphy, and cousins Michelle and Steven Lagarez. He was predeceased by his grandparents Lydia Rivera Zayas and Richard Rivera González and aunt Debbie Lagarez. Timmy’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, August 25th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, August 26th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
