Theresa Mucha Obituary

Theresa “Tessie” (Romanowski) Mucha, 96, of Hamden, CT died peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley John Mucha. Tessie was born in New Haven, CT on November 26, 1927, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Apolonia (Noga) Romanowski and had resided in Hamden for more than sixty years. Her hobbies were flower arranging, gardening, and enjoying her grandchildren. Tessie is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Daniel) Ferraro and JoAnn Neri of Palmetto, FL, two sons, Paul K. (Nancy) Mucha of New Hampshire and Thomas (Phyllis) Mucha of Bethany, a daughter-in-law Diane Mucha of Hamden, seven grandchildren, Darren James“DJ” Mucha, Taylor Mucha, Kimberly Mucha, Daniel Ferraro, Jr., Matthew Ferraro, Nicholas Neri and Julie Neri, two great-grandchildren Anabelle and Roman Mucha, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her son Stanley J. “Butch” Mucha, Jr., her son-in-law Martin Neri, four sisters, Josephine Dzaimalek, Catherine Romanofski, Jennie Romanowski and Frances Bozentka, and two brothers, John Romanowski and Eugene Romanowski.

Tessie’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 12th  from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Saturday, July 13th at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (St. Paul VI Parish), 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
