Terrance Noel Obituary

Terrance "Terry" Ian Noel, 59, of East Haven, CT died peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, York St. Campus with his loving family by his side. Terry was born in Fyzabad, Trinidad, West Indies on September 8, 1966, a son of May Bernadette Noel of East Haven and Roland Trevor Young of Trinidad, and had resided in Brooklyn, NY for twenty years before moving to East Haven twenty years ago. He worked in medical coding, most recently at the Hospital of St. Raphael prior to retirement.

Terry was a very sociable person, and was quick to make friends. He was selfless, always had his family first in mind, and was always willing to help anyway that he could. He had a love for the arts, especially anime and music. Terry loved to travel and to embrace different cultural traditions. He had a passion for finding good food, and had an interest in repairing and modifying cars. He valued his peace and found happiness at home with his family and friends in Trinidad. Terry was a foundational pillar for his family. His absence will be profoundly felt, and he will never be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, Terry is survived by two daughters, Erykah Reid of the Bronx, NY and Arnell Reid of Boston, MA, one sister, Lisa T. Young of East Haven, two brothers, Erland A. (Susan) Young and Gerard M. (Benicia) Young of Trinidad, his best friend Wesley Braton of Trinidad, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including his special niece Destiny Coward and special nephew Niam Telesford of East Haven.

Terry's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Words of comfort will be shared during visitation time. Burial will be private. washingtonmemorialfh.com
