Teresa Soto Ocasio

Teresa Soto Ocasio, 61, of New Haven, CT died suddenly in Kissimmee, FL on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Teresa was born in Cataño, Puerto Rico on October 14, 1962, a daughter of the late Juan and Lydia Soto, and had resided in New Haven for more than thirty years. She was a member of Iglesia Casa del Alfarero, (Potter’s House Church), Wallingford. Teresa is survived by four daughters, Chasity Hernández of New Haven, Omayra (Eddie Ortíz) Gordian and Jahaira Duran of Hamden and Stephanie (Darryl) Foster of Cromwell, one son, Freddy Hernández of New Haven, two sisters, Mayra (Hector Cedeño) Soto and Jacqueline Soto of New Haven, one brother, Juan Soto of Kissimmee, twelve grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Teresa’s family will receive relative and friends on Wednesday, January 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, January 11th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden. Washingtonmemorialfh.com
