Tayna Natalie Rodríguez

Tayna Natalie Rodríguez, 26, of New Haven, CT died suddenly at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Tayna was born in New Haven on June 19, 1996, a daughter of Johnny Rodríguez of Hamden and Natasha Sierra of New Haven, and was a lifelong New Haven resident. Tayna had an upbeat, vivacious energetic personality, and her beautiful smile always lit up the room. She was very family oriented, and was especially devoted to her son Avion. Tayna was a certified nurse’s aid, and had worked at Apple Rehabilitation, West Haven for the past year. In addition to her parents, Tayna is survived by her beloved son Avion Jace Fuentes, her fiancé Rafael Joel Fuentes of New Haven, step-mother Denise Meléndez of Hamden, two sisters, Leia Dior Rodríguez and Delilah Kamren Rodríguez of Hamden, a brother, Jonathan Sierra of New Haven, her paternal grandparents Luís Rodríguez and Maria Martínez  of New Haven, her maternal grandfather Luís Sierra of New Jersey, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Kamren Rodríguez, and her maternal grandmother Carmen Heredia. Tayna’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 27th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, April 28th at 10:00 a.m., the Rev. Arcadio Negrón officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T.
