Stanislaw Gorczynski, 65 of New Haven unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, in the comfort of his home. Born in Surowe, Poland on July 6, 1955, he bravely immigrated to the USA in 1990 where he worked in carpentry for many years. He loved being outdoors, where he enjoyed most of his free time, and had a vibrant personality like no other.
He is survived by Zofia Gorczynska, his wife of forty two years, and eight children: Justyna Padilla, Andrzej, Dariusz (Yahayra), Zdzislaw (Vania), Anna (Alexi), Christopher (Ana), Dorota (Matthew), and Piotor. Grandfather to (but known as tato to all): Jason, Justin, Jade, Ethan, Sofia, Logan, Julia, Emilia, Edwin and Edgar. He is also survived by his family in Poland-mother: Zofia, sisters: Jadza (Janek), Halina (Kazik), and brother: Geniek; as well as twenty-two nieces and nephews. Though he will be greatly missed, we find comfort in knowing that he was welcomed at the gates of Heaven by his late father, Roch, and brother Rysiek.
Stanislaw's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, November 7th from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. His funeral procession will depart from the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church, State Street, New Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
