Sheila Dorothy Gaiolini DeNeutte, 84 of North Haven cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter “Duke” DeNeutte. Sheila was born in New Haven on March 25, 1938, a daughter of the late Harry and Florence Wiltsie Gaiolini. She was a lifetime resident of North Haven with deep ties to the local community, choosing to raise her family in the same home where she grew up. She fondly spent many years working at Forms & Worms in New Haven and Fosdick Corp. in Wallingford. Sheila was an avid sports spectator, with a special love for UCONN Women’s Basketball. Selflessly devoting her life to the service of others, caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandson was the joy of her life. She leaves to cherish her memory two loving daughters, Robin (Bob) Carbonella of Southbury and Kimberly Solomon of North Haven, sister and dearest friend Leona “Rusty” Pascale of Portsmith, RI, grandchildren Kristina (Joseph) Parkurst, Michael Carbonella and Jacob (Susanna) Solomon, great-grandson Christian, brother-in-law Robert Smith of Guilford, and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by sisters Beverly Balletto and her husband John and Lita Smith, and brothers, Arnold “Arinie” Gaiolini and Harry “Chick” Gaiolini and his wife Lee. Funeral services for Sheila are private and have been entrusted to Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
