Santos López

Santos López, 85, of New Haven, CT died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Rosa M. Concepcíon López. Santos was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on December 18, 1937, a son of the late Veatri López and the late Tina Torres, and had resided in New Haven for the past seventy years. He was a machine operator at Chem Tech Rubber of New Haven for more than forty years, retiring in 2000. Santos was the youngest of twelve children and the last surviving sibling. He is survived by two daughters, Myrna Vélez of Branford and Brunilda López of New Haven, one son, Hector López of New Haven, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter, Hilda López and two sons, Miguel Vélez and Santos López. Santos' family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, December 1st at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com
