Rose M. Golino Padua, 94 of Hamden died peacefully at MidState Medical Center, Meriden on Friday, February 5, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. Padua. Rose was born in Shelton on June 13, 1926, a daughter of the late Filippo and Grace Raucci Golino, and had resided in Bridgeport for most of her life before moving to Hamden in 2003. She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Simansky and her husband Robert of Monroe, a son, John Padua and his wife Julia of Hamden, three grandchildren, Jamie (Jeff) Grover, John (Dawnelle) Padua and Joseph Padua, and two great-granddaughters, Julia Rose Grover and Violet Elizabeth Padua. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters. Rose’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 10th from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2410 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
