Roberto Antonio Torres

Roberto Antonio Torres, 56, of New Haven died peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Blanca Nilda Nieves. Roberto was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 16, 1966, a son of Roberto and Isabel Torres of New Haven, and was a life-long New Haven resident. He was an auto mechanic for Splash Car Wash, West Haven at the time of his death. In addition to his parents, Roberto is survived by his step-mother Angela Torres of New Haven, three sons, Roberto Torres of New Haven, Joshua Torres and David McGregor of East Haven, four daughters, Isabel Torres and Jessica Torres of East Haven, and Zamira Quiles and Gloria Nieves of New Haven, two brothers, Felix Cortes of New Haven and Billy Colón of Orlando, FL, one sister, Carmen Torres of New York City, his longtime and dear friend whom he shared three of his loving children with, Paulina Tirado of East Haven, eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Ricardo Torres. Roberto's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 7th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
