Roberto Burgos

Roberto Burgos, 49, of Bridgeport, CT, formerly of New Haven, CT, died peacefully at Bridgeport Hospital on Tuesday, May 10, 2023. Roberto was born in New Haven on March 21, 1974, a son of the late Bienvenido Burgos and the late Antonia Santiago. He had resided in New Haven for most of his life before moving to Bridgeport thirteen years ago. Roberto worked in construction for many years until 2017. He is survived by three daughters, Katelin Ojeda of Hartford, and Sophia and Cambria Burgos of New Haven, two sons, Robert Gio Burgos and Giovanni Burgos of New Haven, seven sisters, Yolanda Torres and Silvia Ramos of Bridgeport, Lucy Mejias and her husband Frank Ramos, Sonia Mejias and Hayde Mejias of New Haven, Lillian Nieves and her husband Edgar Nieves of St. Cloud, FL and Gladys Burgos of Hartford, seven brothers, Osvaldo Torres and his wife Lucy Torres of Juanadias, Puerto Rico, Angilles Mejias of Utuado, Puerto Rico, José Antonio Mejias and his wife Awilda Vélez of Hatillo, Puerto Rico, Geraldo Mejias and his wife Nancy Mejias of New Haven, Cesar Mejias and his wife Alma Mejias of Hamden, Ruben Ramos of Norwich and Antonio Ramos Burgos of Bridgeport, two granddaughters, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by five sisters, Lillian Mejias, Hayde Mejias, Luz Burgos, Norma Burgos and Carmen Ramos, and seven brothers, Cesario Mejias, José Manuel Torres, Basilve Torres, Carlos Burgos, Julio Burgos, Angel Burgos and William Ramos Burgos. Roberto's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, May 12th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
