Richard Anthony Filipelli

Richard Anthony Filipelli, 63, of Willow Spring, NC, formerly of East Haven, CT and Las Vegas, NV died peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the UCONN John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. He was the beloved husband of Karen Shomers Filipelli. Richard was born in New Haven, CT on March 25, 1959, a son of the late Salvatore and Carmela Annunziata Filipelli. He grew up in East Haven, lived in Las Vegas for thirty years, and had resided in Willow Spring, NC for the past three months. Richard had worked in the construction field for many years. He is also survived by a daughter, Sophia Filipelli of Georgia, three sons, Richard A. Filipeli, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Salvatore Filipelli of San Diego, CA and Richard A. Filipelli of East Haven, one sister, Kathleen Ann (Stephen) Formica of Northford, CT, and two brothers, Stephen Filipelli of East Haven and Raymond Filipelli of Stewart, FL. He was predeceased by one sister, Karen Austin and one brother, Salvatore Filipelli. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven.
