Rev. Santos López, Jr., 58, of West Haven, CT, a devoted husband, father, step-father, and exceptional grandfather, passed away leaving behind a powerful legacy of love, faith and selfless service. Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Rev. López dedicated his life to the work of the Lord, embodying compassion, strength, and unwavering hope in every aspect of his journey.

Ordained as a minister and called to serve, Rev. López answered his pastoral calling in 2005 when he assumed leadership of Centro Misionero de Restauración (CMR Church), following the transition of founding pastor Rev. Dr. José M. Pérez. With humility and vision, he led CMR with a mission deeply rooted in the Gospel: to restore hearts, uplift the broken, and provide both spiritual and tangible support to the most vulnerable members of the community.

Under his guidance, CMR blossomed into a true refuge-feeding the hungry, supporting families in crisis, and offering outreach to the homeless with grace and purpose. Rev. López was not only a man of the cloth, but a beacon of light for anyone in need. His presence brought comfort, his words offered wisdom, and his actions spoke louder than sermons.

Outside of the pulpit, Rev. López was a man of many joys. He found peace in the outdoors and loved camping under the stars. His talent in the kitchen was unmatched-his cooking warmed not just stomachs, but hearts. With an infectious laugh that could light up a room, and a favorite reminder that "everything will be ok," he carried an optimistic spirit that lifted everyone around him.

He was full of wisdom, always ready with sound advice, a joke, or a comforting hug. He taught others not just how to live, but how to love.

Rev. Santos, Jr. was truly one of a kind-a remarkable man, a faithful leader, and a cherished soul. His impact will live on through the lives he touched, the family he loved so fiercely, and the community he served with all his heart.

He will be deeply missed. 

Rev. López was predeceased by his parents Santos López, Sr. and Luz Cuevas. He is survived by his beloved wife Myrna López, a daughter, Jessica (Richard Lepley) López of Bonita Springs, FL, three sons, Anselmo (Glory Bee Feliciano) López of New Haven, and Jesús López and Emanuel López of Hamden, three step-children, Liz (Ivan Camacho) Andujar and Samuel Andujar of West Haven and Kelvin (Maria) Andujar of New Haven, and seventeen grandchildren, Aliana, Gloriana, Angel, Josiah, Emory and Elijah López, Roberto Hernández, John and Isabella Lepley, Leah and Noah Camacho, Jacob, Kelvin Andujar, Jr., Dailyn, Yandel, Yadiel and Bethany Andujar. 

Rev. López's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 17th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com

En Memoria de Rev. Santos López, Jr. Siervo Dedicado, Pastor Fiel y Amado Hombre de Familia

El Reverendo Santos López, Jr.,58, de West Haven, CT, un esposo devoto, padre, padrastro y abuelo excepcional, partió de este mundo miercoles, el 11 junio de 2025, dejando un poderoso legado de amor, fe y servicio desinteresado.  Nacido y criado en New Haven, Connecticut, el Rev. López dedicó su vida a la obra del Señor, encarnado la compasión, la fortaleza y una esperanza inquebrantable en cada paso de su camino.

Ordenado como ministro y llamado al servicio, el Rev. López respondió a su llamado pastoral en el año 2005, cuando asumió el liderazgo de Iglesia Centro Misionero de Restauración (CMR), tras la  transición del pastor fundador, el Rev. Dr. José M. Pérez, quien partió para establecer un nuevo ministerio en Nueva York. Con humildad y visión, dirigió CMR con una misión profundamente arraigada en el Evangelio: restauar corazones, leventar a los quebrantados y brindar apoyo espiritual y tangible a los más vulnerables.

Bajo su liderazgo, CMR floreció como un verdadero refugio-alimentando a los hambrientos, apoyando a familias en crisis y ofreciendo ayuda a personas sin hogar con gracia y propósito. El Rev. López no solo fue un hombre de fe, sino también un faro de luz aquel que lo necesitaba. Su presencia brindaba consuelo, sus palabras ofrecián sabiduria, y sus acciones hablaban más fuerte que cualquier sermón.

Fuera del púlpito, el Rev. López era un hombre lleno de alegrías. Disfrutaba de la naturaleza y amaba acampar bajo las estrellas. Su talento en la cocina res inigualable-sus platillos no solo alimentaban el cuerpo, sino también el alma. Con una risa contagiosa que iluminaba caulquier habitación y su frase favorita: "toda va a estar bien," llevaba un espíritu optimista que elevaba a todos a su alreddedor.

Lleno de sabiduria, siempre estaba dispuesto a ofrecer un buen consejo, una broma o un abrazo reconfortante. Enseño no solo cómo vivir, sino como amar.

El Reverendo Santos López, Jr. fue verdaderamente único-un hombre extraordinario, un lider fiel y un alma muy querida. Su impacto vivirá por siempre a través de las vidas que tocó, la familia que tanto amó y la comunidad que sirvió con todo su corazón.

Lo extañaremos profundamente...y para siempre.

El Rev. López fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres Santos López, Sr. y Luz Cuevas. Le sobrevive su amada esposa Myrna López, una hija Jessica (Richard Lepley) López de Bonita Springs, FL, tres hijos, Anselmo (Glory Bee Feliciano) López de New Haven y Jesús y Emanuel López de Hamden, tres hijos políticos, Liz (Ivan Camacho) Andujar y Samuel Anduajar de West Haven y Kelvin (Maria) Andujar de New Haven y diecisiete nietos, Aliana, Gloriana, Angel Josiah, Emory y Elijah López, Roberto Hernández, John y Isabella Lepley, Leah y Noah Camacho, y Jacob, Kelvin Andujar, Jr., Dailyn, Yandel, Yadiel y Bethany Andujar.

La familia de Rev. López recibirán a familiares y amigos el lunes, el 16 junio de 6:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. en Funeraria Washington Memorial, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Un servicio fúnebre será martes, el 17 junio a las 10:00 a.m. en la funeraria. Entierro será en Cementerio Evergreen, 769 Ella T. Grasso Blvd., New Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com
