Ramona Claudiio, 90, of New Haven died peacefully at Hamden Healthcare Center on Saturday, September 17, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Anes. Ramona was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on August 31, 1932, a daughter of the late Nicolas Claudio and the late Agueda Brito, and had resided in New Haven for the past twenty two years. She is survived by three daughters, Zaida and Sandra Anes of New Haven and Margarita (Paul) Rodríguez of Boston, MA, five sons, José (Anilda Rodríguez) Anes of Guayama, Roberto (Sara) Anes of Deltona, FL, Ricardo Anes of Worcester, MA, José Luís Anes of Derby and Nicolas Anes of New Haven, one sister, Irene Claudio of Guayama, twenty grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Anibal Anes, a grandson, Eduardo Anes and a great-grandson, Miguel Martínez. Ramona's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, September 24th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
