Penelope (Wood) Rodríguez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Penelope Rodríguez (née Wood), who passed away on Wednesday, March 26m 2025, at the age of 77 in New Haven, CT, surrounded by her loving family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. and she will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life is being planned for summer 2025. Details to follow.  

Penelope was born in Alexandria, Virginia, attended Grace Episcopal Church growing up and was a graduate of W.T. Woodson High School. She met he future husband while both were working for the government and after they married, they settled down in New Haven. Penelope will be lovingly remembered by her son Manuel, daughter Melissa (Jon), grandson Elias (Amayrani), brother Clint (Suzel), and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Manuel and her parents, Clint and Evelyn.

We would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of the MICU at St. Raphael's campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital for the compassionate care provided to Penelope.
