Pedro García

Pedro Garcia, 84 of New Haven died peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus. Pedro was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 19, 1935, a son of the late Marcelino Garcia and the late Marcelina Sanchez. He had resided in San Juan for most of his life, New York City for twenty years, and New Haven for the past five years. Pedro was a waiter for many years in Puerto Rico, and later in New York City at the Old King Cole Restaurant in the Sheraton Hotel on Fifth Avenue. He is survived by his daughter Celenia Garcia and her companion Carlos Rivera of New Haven, two sons, Pedro Garcia, Jr. of Allentown, PA and Gilberto (Fiorela) Garcia of Miami, FL, two sisters, Maria and Rafaela Cabrera of Queens, NY, many grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
