Pedro Colón Correa, 81, of New Haven, CT, formerly of Bridgeport, CT died peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Carmen San Jurjo Colón. Pedro was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on October 18, 1941, a son of the late Pedro Colón and the late Joba Correa and lived in Canovanas, PR for most of his life before to Bridgeport in 2005 where he lived for thirteen years before moving to New Haven five years ago. While in Puerto Rico Pedro worked as a tile setter. In addition to his wife Carmen, Pedro is survived by two sons Francisco Colón of Canovanas, PR, and Luís Alberto Colón of Arroyo, PR, and a step-daughter Joalice Escobar of New Haven. He is also survived by many loving brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pedro's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, January 22nd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 23rd at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. washingtonmemorialfh
