Paul Corsi Obituary

Paul Corsi, 86, of Branford, formerly of West Haven died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice, Branford on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Paul was born in Supino, province of Frosinone, Italy on December 5, 1935, a son of the late Giovanni and Maria Agostini Corsi. He came to the U.S. in 1951 and resided in West Haven for most of his life before moving to Branford in 2014. Paul was a screw machine operator for the former Winchester Repeating Arms Co. of New Haven for thirty seven years, retiring in 1997. He then worked at Sacred Heart Academy, Hamden for and additional eighteen years. Paul was a long-time member of the San Cataldo Society, a parishioner of St. Anthony Church of New Haven and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp.  Paul is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Dean) Lebreiro of Naugatuck, Dina Corsi of Branford and Marisa (Lou) Serenson of North Branford, two sisters, Mafalda Gatti of North Haven and Gina Zaino of West Haven, eight grandchildren, Carissa (Jeremy) Nichols, A.J. Crosby, Andrew LeMere, Paul Crosby, Emma Serenson, Tyler Serenson, Amanda (Dusty) Ray and Zach Lebreiro, five great grandchildren, Ava LeMere, Nadia Nichols, Ryder Nichols, Brinley Ray and Aubrey Ray, his long-time companion Carmel Apuzzo of Hamden, his former wife Fiorella Saporetti of North Branford, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by three sisters, Ermelinda Carnale, Virginia Rossini and Giacomina Agostini, and four brothers, Orlando, Ezio, Gildo and Alberto Corsi. Paul’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, July 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. His funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Monday, July 11th at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (St. Paul VI Parish), 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Entombment with military honors will follow at the mausoleum at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
