Pastor Gómez, 65 of New Haven died peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Midstate Medical Center, Meriden with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Flor Orellana. Pastor was born in Macas, Moronas Santiago, Ecuador on June 3, 1955, a son of the late Flavio Gómez and the late Victoria Genovez. He resided in Quito, Ecuador for most of his life, and had lived in New Haven for the past twenty one years. He worked for Connecticut Natural Foods of Wallingford, formerly of North Haven for twenty one years, retiring in 2017. While in Quito, Pastor was a police officer for twenty four years. In addition to his wife Flor, Pastor is survived by a daughter, Brithny Gómez of New Haven, six sons, Alex Gómez of Chicago, IL, and Christian, Paul, Diego, Amilcar and Alexander Gómez of Quito, two sisters, Emna Gómez of Cicago and Comanda Gómez of Macas, Ecuador, two brothers, José Gómez of Chicago and Rocio Gómez of Macas. He is also survived by three grandchildren. Pastor's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
