Nitza Díaz

Nitza Díaz, 70, of New Haven, CT died suddenly at her home on Friday, May, 2nd, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Heriberto Vega Valentín. Nitza was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 12, 1955, a daughter of the late Manuel Díaz Pabón and the late Tomasa Rivera Felix, and had resided in the Bronx, NY for ten years before moving to New Haven thirty seven years ago. In addition to her husband Heriberto, Nitza is survived by two daughters, Yesenia López and Corinne Colón of New Haven, four sons, Miguel Robles of Carolina, PR, Angel Cintrón and Eric (Alba González) Díaz of New Haven and Victor Díaz of West Haven, four sisters, Luz Barios and Ivonne Díaz of Carolina, Ruth Díaz of Rio Grande, PR and Lisette (Willie Ortíz) Díaz of West Haven, one brother, Victor Manuel (Migdalia Rodríguez) Díaz of Carolina, twenty grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edwin and Ulises Díaz.

Nitza's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, May 12th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
