Nicole Sarno Obituary

Nicole M. Sarno, 48 of New Haven died peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 31, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Carlos L. Soto. Nicole was born in New Haven on August 29, 1972, a daughter of the late Jeannie Ann Sarno and was a lifelong New Haven resident. She was a Quality Control Technician at Med-Tronics, formerly U.S. Surgical of North Haven for twenty eight years up until the time of her illness. Nicole very much adored her family, and loved tending to all their needs. She especially enjoyed cooking and loved to travel. In addition to her husband Carlos, Nicole is survived by a daughter, René Nicole Mercado and a son, Carlos L. Soto, Jr. of New Haven, one sister, Renee (Bernard) Salters of Hamden, one brother, Joseph Sarno of West Haven, two grandchildren, Jaidahleise Renee Ortiz and Jaisha Nicole Rivera, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents William and Lucy Sarno.  Nicole's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, February 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
