Nicole Marie (Henninger) Ayala

Nicole Marie Henninger Ayala, 38 of New Haven, formerly of East Haven died suddenly at Yale-New Haven Hospital after being stricken at home. She was the beloved newly wed wife to José Antonio Ayala. Nicole was born in New Haven on August 24, 1981, a loving daughter of David Henninger and Theresa DePino Comfort of East Haven. She grew up in East Haven and had resided in New Haven for the past twelve years. Nicole was a 1999 graduate of East Haven High School, and was a call center operator at Yale University for the past six years. She is also survived by her son Emiliano José Antonio Ayala of New Haven, two step-children, Tessa Rose Ayala and Antonio José Ayala of Bristol, her sister, Danielle Henninger of New Haven, her maternal grandmother, Corrine Henninger of Portland, ME, her mother-in-law Vilma Castellanos of New Haven, two nieces, Angelice Ayala and Otis Ayala, Jr., and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Robert Henninger, and her paternal grandparents Theresa and Charles DePino. Nicole's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 5th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Thursday, August 6th at 10:30 a.m. for a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Nicole on Saturday, October 24th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish (Our Lady of Pompeii Church), 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
