Nicholas Petronella Obituary

Nicholas Peter Petronella, 61, of North Haven entered into eternal rest, Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Born April2, 1959 in Hartford, son of the late Marie Alamo and Nicholas Petronella. Predeceased  by his father-in-law Robert J. Greene; and his brother-in-law Michael R. Greene. Nicholas is survived  by his beloved wife, Carolyn S. Petronella of thirty years; his mother-in-law Irene M. Greene; two step-daughters Christina Bouchard and her husband John, and their two sons Jared and Devyn; and Vanessa Vázquez. Nicholas attended Simsbury schools and worked for MetLife Insurance Co. for many years. He loved music and was a talented drummer that was in a few bands in the past. He was also an avid reader, nature and animal lover. Nicholas was a kind and gentle soul, who was a joy to all that knew him. His goodness shown through and how he lived his life. His family will receive relatives and friends at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven, Thursday, December 10th from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Nicholas may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
