Nelson E. Mejia Aguirre, 24 of New Haven, CT died suddenly on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Nelson was born in La Esperanza Intibucá, Colonia San Carlos, Honduras on September 8, 1996, a son of Cesar Agusto Mejia and Elvia Aguirre of La Esperanza Intibucá, and had resided in New haven for the past 2 1/2 years. He was a sheetrock hanger and taper for area construction companies. In addition to his parents, Nelson is survived by four sisters, Vilma Mejia and her husband George Joseph of Thomaston, CT, Nora Margot Mejia, Sindi Mejia and Matha Mejia of La Esperanza Intibucá, a brother, Cesar Mejia Aguirre of New Haven and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Honduras. Funeral services for Nelson are private and have been entrusted to the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
