Nelson Feliciano Montanez

Nelson Feliciano Montanez, 80 of New Haven, CT died peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 8, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Nelson was born in Poncé, Puerto Rico on December 27, 1943, a son of Ramona Montanez and had resided in Poncé for most of his life before moving to New Haven twenty five years ago. While living in Poncé, Nelson worked for many years at National Seafood in their packing department. He later worked as a food packer in West Haven for ten years, retiring in 2009. Nelson is survived by three daughters, Sheila Feliciano of New Haven, Paula Feliciano of Philadelphia, PA and Elsa Feliciano of Florida, two sons, Nelson Rafael Feliciano of New Haven and Walter Feliciano of Poncé, one brother, Chu Feliciano of Poncé, fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters, Marta, Lucy and Awilda Feliciano.

Nelson's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 12th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
