Miriam Ortíz

Miriam Ortíz, 67, of Margate, FL, formerly of New Haven, CT died suddenly on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Miriam was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on May 21, 1957, a daughter of the late Confesor Ortíz and the late Aida Tirado, and grew up in New Haven before moving to Margate thirty five years ago. She was a ticket agent with United Airlines formerly known as Continental Airlines for more than twenty five years, retiring in 2021. 

Miriam is survived by a daughter, Melanie Marquez of Margate, two brothers, John (Julia) Ortíz of North Haven and William Ortíz of New Haven, two grandchildren, Sirena and Devin Marquez of Margate, her aunt Angelita Ortega and cousin Lisa Ortega of Harlem, NY, nieces Vanessa Ortíz and Jael Karles and nephews John Ortiz, Jason Ortiz, and Daniel Clough, 

Miriam's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place during visitation time. Burial will be private. washingtonmemorialfh.com
