Miriam Morales

Miriam Morales, 73, of New Haven, CT died peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Jorge Zayas. Miriam was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico on March 9, 1952, a daughter of the late Valentín Morales and the late Julia González, and had resided in New Haven for most of her life. Miriam was a home body who loved being with her family, watching her tv shows and going shopping. 

She is survived by two daughters, Maria Díaz of New Haven and Natalie Concepción of Fairfield, one son, Jorge Zayas, Jr. of New Haven, three sisters, Ana, Tate and Elba Morales, and one brother, Hector Morales of Brooklyn, NY, three grandchildren, Yanaliz Zayas, Kayell Pérez and Alex Echevarria, and many loving, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Miriam are private and have been entrusted to Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. washingtonmemorialfh.com
