Milagros “Millie” Báez, 60 of New Haven died peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 8, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Salvador Báez. Mille was born in the Bronx, New York on July 11, 1960, a daughter of Natividad Rivera Batista of New Haven and the late Fernando Batista, and had resided in New Haven for most of her life. She is also survived by two daughters, Elizabeth de Jesús of West Haven and Cristina (Angel) de Jesús of Hamden, two sons, Rene Rodríguez and Agustín Báez of New Haven, five sisters, Santa (Brian) Hassett of Port Charlotte, FL, Maria Luz Martínez, Carmen Ana Vázquez and Carmen Batista of New Haven and Lourdes Rosado of Lewistown, PA, five brothers, Jorge Vázquez, Junior, Robert, Nelson and Freddy Batista, all of New Haven, fourteen grandchildren, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her son Edwin Rodríguez. Millie’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home Wednesday, July 14th at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
