Migdalia Soto, 44, of New Haven, CT died peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Jhonatan Díaz. Migdalia was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on February 11, 1980, a daughter of Pablo Soto of Puerto Rico and Luisa Padillo of New Haven, and had resided in New Haven for the past twenty three years. In addition, to her husband, Migdalia is survived by two daughters, Alayla Daly Díaz and Kendra Adeliz Díaz and two sons Marcos Cában and Jonathan Brandon Díaz, all of New Haven, one sister, Magda Soto and two brothers, Pablo (Nilda) Soto and Juan (Jayline) Soto, also of New Haven, three grandchildren, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Migdalia's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Friday, March 1st at 9:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Louis Church (St. John XXIII Parish), 89 Bull Hill Lane, West Haven. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
