Mary Ann Paolillo Hakim, 62 of Dallas, TX died peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Dallas with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of thirty nine years to Farook Hakim. Mary Ann was born in New Haven, CT on January 22, 1960, a daughter of Alphonse V. Paolillo, Sr. of Wallingford, CT and the late Patricia Imperato Paolillo. She grew up in East Haven, CT and graduated from East Haven High School in 1977, lived in Wallingford for several years, and had resided in Dallas for the past thirty years. Mary Ann attended Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT, and graduated from the Culinary Institute of New York in Hyde Park. She was an executive chef for Marriot and Westin Hotels for fifteen years and then served in the same capacity for Peterbuilt Trucking in Irving, TX for an additional fifteen years. In addition to her husband and father, Mary Ann is survived by her son Al Hakim of Dallas, two sisters, Patricia A. Paolillo-Burke and her husband Kenneth Burke of Olive Branch, MS and Michele L. Paolillo DeCaprio and her husband John DeCaprio of Clearwater Beach, FL, two brothers, Vincent Paolillo of West Haven and Alphonse V. Paolillo, Jr. and his wife Angelica Paolillo of Hendersonville, TN. She is also survived by three nieces, Christina and Bryanna Paolillo and Nicole Burke, and four nephews, John Burke, Dalton and AJ DeCaprio and Mason Paolillo. She was predeceased by her sister Nancy Paolillo. A committal service will take place on Friday, May 26th at 12:00 p.m. in the mausoleum at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven, CT, the Rev. Michael Santiago officiating.
