Mary Papa, 91, of North Haven died peacefully, Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Midstate Medical Center, Meriden with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Papa, Sr. Mary was born in Bridgeport, CT on July 3, 1931, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary DiPizzo Rosino and had resided in North Haven since 1974. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie Papa (her dear friend Pam Cagiotti) and Nancy Marie Papa of North Haven, two sons, Albert (Linda) Papa of West Haven and Joseph (Colleen) Papa, Jr. of Derby, one sister, Angelina Baldino of Bridgeport, two beloved grandchildren Albert Papa, Jr. and his wife Danielle and Kristen Papa, and two loving great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Cash Papa. She was predeceased by one sister, Carmela Karlus, and four brothers, Louis, Peter and Anthony LaPorta and Benjamin Rosino, Jr. Mary’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 25th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Friday, August 26th at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (St. Paul IV Parish), 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
