Mary Theresa (Pascale) Papa

Mary Theresa Pascale Papa, 85, of North Haven, formerly of East Haven died peacefully at her home on Monday, March 21, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo Papa, Sr. Mary was born in New Haven on March 2, 1937, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Philomina “Fannie” Perrone Pascale, and had resided in East Haven for most of her life before moving to North Haven three years ago. She was a telephone receptionist for the former Auric Answering Service of New Haven for many years, and later worked as an in home caregiver for several more years, retiring in 2000. Mary is survived by four loving children, Camille (Kurt) Karow of Tomahawk, WI, Gina Marie (Jamie) DeAngelo of North Haven, Angelo Papa, Jr. of East Haven and Anthony Papa, Sr. of Meriden, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Lillian Aiello. Mary’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 12:45 p.m. at Our Lady of Pompeii Church (St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish), 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
