Mary (Vlado) Mitchell

Mary Vlado Mitchell, 79 of West Haven, formerly of New Haven died peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 26, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John Mitchell. Mary was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on February 12, 1943, a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Thompson Vlado, and had resided in New Haven for most of her life before moving to West Haven last year. She is survived by a son, Wally Mitchell of West Haven, two daughters, Pauline (John) Jace of Providence, Rhode Island and Lisa Mitchell of Revere, Massachusetts, one sister, Rose Marco of Hamden, fourteen grandchildren and many, many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary was predeceased by two sons, Stevie and Louie Mitchell. Mary's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 31st from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her procession will leave from the funeral home on Wednesday, June 1st at 10:30 a.m. for a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at the mausoleum at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
