Marvin Rodriguez Obituary

In Loving Memory of Marvin Rodríguez

December 12, 1978 - March 1, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marvin Rodríguez, who left this world on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. Marvin was born on December 12, 1978 in New Haven, Connecticut. He lived a life marked by love, loyalty, and a deep devotion to his family and friends.

Marvin was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Amie Vaca-Rodríguez, and a proud and loving stepfather to Nicholas, whom he loved dearly. Family was the center of Marvin's life, and he cherished every moment spent with those he loved.

He is survived by his loving parents, Carmen Torres and Felix Rodríguez; his sister Jenica Herazo and her husband Tomás Herazo; and his cherished niece Arianna Herazo, who brought him endless joy. Marvin also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

Marvin was a hardworking and dedicated professional throughout his life. He proudly worked for nine years at USAA, where he built many lasting friendships and was respected for his commitment and work ethic. He also spent three years working as a realtor with LPT Realty, where he enjoyed helping people find homes and building connections within the community. Most recently, Marvin had begun an exciting new chapter after being hired by GEICO, a new opportunity he looked forward to with hope and enthusiasm.

Outside of work, Marvin was known for his vibrant personality and the love he had for the people in his life. He was a passionate sports fan and a loyal supporter of the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Yankees. Watching games, celebrating victories, and sharing that excitement with family and friends were some of the simple joys he truly cherished.

Those who knew Marvin will remember his kind heart, his loyalty, and the way he could make people feel welcomed and valued. His presence brought laughter, warmth, and comfort to so many.

Although his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved him.

Marvin's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 21st from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A prayer service will take place during visitation time. His funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. and procced to Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T. Grasso for a committal service. washingtonmemorialfh.com
