Maruveni Pérez Ruano

Maruveni Pérez Ruano, 54 of Hamden, CT, formerly of Alde Canaan, Los Amates, Izabal, and Guatemala City, Guatemala died peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of late Guadalupe Martínez Fajardo. Maruveni was born in Guazacapán, Santa Rosa, Guatemala on November 14, 1965, a daughter of the late Benjamin Pérez, and the late Enma Ruano. She had resided her entire life in Alde Canaán and Guatemala City, Guatemala before moving to Hamden a year ago. Maruveni is survived by five daughters, Debora Jiménez Pérez and her husband Jhersson Cordón, and Amalia Jiménez Pérez of Hamden, and Olma, Mariela, and Seidy Jiménez Pérez of Guatemala, two sons, Macario Jiménez Pérez of New Haven, and Daniel Jiménez Pérez of Hamden, four sisters, Esmilda de León, Miriam, and Maricarmen of California, and Yolanda Pérez of Guatemala, five brothers, Byron Pérez of Houston, TX, and Edgar Benjamin Pérez, Darwin, Antonio, Gerson, and Luís Pérez, all of Guatemala, eleven grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Maruveni's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 12th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home,4 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Thursday, August 13th at 9:45 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Francis of Assisi Church, 397 Ferry St.., New Haven at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place in Alde Canaán, Guatemala. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
