Remembering Mark Alan Finck, 80, the beloved husband of fifty years of Margaret DeSanto Finck of Shelton, CT, formerly of West Haven, CT. We are to remember him as the happy giving person that he was. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Bridgeport Hospital. God finally said " Come home with me", as Mark is now safe in his hands. We will pray for him, and he will be missed by all he touched.
Mark was born in New Haven, CT on March 25, 1943, a son of the late Harold L. and Gertrude Roklen Finck, and had resided in West Haven for most of his life before moving to Shelton five years ago. He owned and operated the former Post Luncheonette of West Haven for many years, and was a noble employee at the West Haven City Hall for twenty five years, retiring in 2004. Mark loved playing the drums and heavyweight boxing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially by his beloved Margaret.
In addition to his beloved wife Margaret, Mark is survived by five daughters, Becky (Frank) Riccitelli, Lori Masella of Wallingford, Missy Criscuolo of West Haven and Sheryl Brothers and Kimberly Rose of Shelton, one brother, David S. Finck of New Hampshire, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Finck, two brothers, Ronald and Barry Finck, and granddaughters, Jessica McLoughlin and Brittnay Sanzo.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, December 4th at 2:00 p.m. at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven. The Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven has been entrusted with arrangements. washingtonmemorialfh.com
