Maritza Elizabeth Morocho Fernández, 43 of East Haven, CT died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Rafael Jarro Inga. Maritza was born in El Pan, Azuay, Ecuador on June 10, 1980, a daughter of Luís Mario Marocho of Canar, Ecuador and Maria Natividad Fernández of East Haven, and had resided in East Haven for the past twenty years. She was a cook at Doody's, North Branford for the past seven years. Maritza is also survived by her daughter Kayla Michele Jarro Morocho of East Haven, two sisters, Rosa Lano Fernández and Gabriela (Diego Tamay) Villalta of East Haven, three brothers, Mario Morocho Fernández of New Haven, Edison Llanos Fernádez of Palora, Ecuador and Marco Llanos Fernández of East Haven, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Maritza's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Saturday, December 30th at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church (Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish), 397 Ferry St., New Haven.
