Marilyn Santiago

Marilyn Santiago, 49 of New Haven died peacefully at her home on Monday, May 10, 2021 with her loving family by her side. Marilyn was born in New York City on September 4, 1971, a daughter of Zoraida Santiago of New Haven and the late José Antonio Santiago, and had resided in New Haven for the past thirty two years. She was an elderly care aid, and had most recently been working with BNM of West Haven until her illness. In addition to her mother, Marilyn is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Rivera and her fiancé Andre Harris, Stephanie Olano and Jamilett Hernández of New Haven, three sons, Heriberto (Griselle) Collazo of Bristol, Elvis Velez of Maryland and Carlos Hernández of New Haven, three brothers, Luís (Laura) Santiago of Waterbury, and Angel Martinez and Graviel (Katrina) Martinez of New Haven, thirteen grandchildren and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother José Santiago. Marilyn's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, May 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, May 14th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com.
