Maria Velazco Sanchez

Maria Velazco Sanchez, 65, of New Haven, passed away, Monday, June 13, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the loving wife of Cesar Rafael. Maria was born in Lima, Peru, January 9, 1957, a daughter of the late Jucinquin Velazco and Ana Sanchez and had been a New Haven resident since 2003. She had been employed by Precision Metal Products in Milford. In addition to her husband Cesar, she is survived by three sons Christian (Katherine) Rafael of Hamden, Jean Carlos (Ashley) Rafael of Waterbury and Marlon (Geraldine) Rafael of New Haven; three grandchildren Gisel Rafael, Maximilian Rafael and Micahel Rafael; 1 sister; 4 brothers. Maria’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven, Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home during the calling hours.
