Margarita Rosa Quidgley

Margarita Rosa Quidgley, 79 of New Haven died peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Margarita was born in Canovanas, Puerto Rico on December 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Manuel Rosa Vadi and the late Guillermina Quidgley Esquélin. She had resided in New Haven for the past forty years and was a long-time member of Iglesia de Dios Admirable. Margarita is survived by three daughters, Zaida Rivera of Virginia Beach, VA and Marta Alvárez and Elba Alvárez of New Haven, two sons, Rafael (Carmen) Rivera and Juan Rosa of New Haven, two sisters, Manuela Rosa of Washington, DC and Josefina Rosa of Miami, FL, two brothers, Carmelo Rosa of Canovanas and Farico Rosa of New York City, eighteen grandchildren, eighteen grea-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Maricela Alvárez Rosa, a son, Angel Luís Rosa, a sister, Isabel Rosa, and a brother, Juan Rosa. Margarita's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be private. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
