Margarita Monter Pérez, 48, of New Haven, CT died peacefully Friday, June 28, 2024 at Yale-New Haven Hospital-York St. Campus with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Prisciliano Rodríguez. Margarita was born in Pachuca, Hidalgo, México on November 15, 1975, a daughter of Julia Pérez of New Haven and the late Camilo Monter. She had resided in Pachuca for her entire life before moving to New Haven twenty five years ago. In addition to her husband Prisciliano, Margarita is survived by two daughters, Amy Rodríguez and Nancy Monter of New Haven, four sisters, Martha (Abel García) Monter of Hidalgo, México, and Paulina (Giovanni López) Monter, Amalia (Jorge Cuapio) Monter and Blanca (Alejandro Garza) Monter of New Haven, three brothers, Maximino (Rosa Portes) Monter of New Haven and Camilo (Nelly Hernández) Monter and Victor Monter of Hidalgo, one grandson Eziquiel Eliosa, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Margarita's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, June 30th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Monday, July 1st at 6:30 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. in St. Anthony Church, 75 Washington Ave., New Haven.
