Margaret “Peggy” Brennan, 91, of North Haven, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023 with her loving family by her side after courageously battling many health issues. Peggy was born in Derby, CT on July 3, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Mary Manion Jaekle. She lived in North Haven most of her life; she was employed by SNET for twenty five years until her retirement in 1993. Peggy loved her family and valued her friendships. Additionally, she enjoyed knitting, history, trivia, playing cards and (winning at) BINGO. She will be remembered for her kind, caring demeanor and quick, witty responses. She was a devoted mother to Jay (Lisa) Brennan and Meg Fitzpatrick of North Haven. She was a loving grandmother to Jay (Melissa) Brennan of Newtown and Ryan Brennan, Brianna and Luke Fitzpatrick of North Haven. She is also survived by her sister Loretta Colandrea and her family of North Haven. She loved her dear friends Donna Cosentino of Derby and Rick and Anna Leone of North Haven. At Peggy’s request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
