Manny de Jesús Pérez, 38 years of age, resident of New Haven, passed away peacefully into eternal life Saturday, March 12, 2022, with his beloved wife by his side due to a prolonged illness. Manny was born in New York on October 6, 1983, beloved son to Manuel and Doris Pérez. Manny was the middle child of 3 sons, Danny and Denny Pérez. Manny met his wife, Amandy, winter of 2009, and it was love at first sight. Manny proposed to Amandy within three months, and married shortly after. Soon enough, they started a family and had their son Aiden Pérez, and a couple of years later welcomed their daughter Arianny Pérez. Manny adored his family, and worked hard to provide for them. His happiest times were with them, and although he spent many days in and out of the hospital, he made sure to make up for those missed days when he got back home. Amandy was his soulmate, and they enjoyed every second they had together, laughing and spending time with their children. Manny was a God-fearing man whose faith always stood firm. He always saw the best in people, and never focused on or paid attention to negativity. He always tried his best to get a smile out of you, despite what he was going through. Manny also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and many loved ones. He was truly one of a kind, and touched the lives of many people. The family asks that you not wear black, as we remember the vibrant, happy, bright Manny that we all loved. White is preferable. Manny's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. His funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Monday, March 21st at 1:00 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church (Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish), 397 Ferry St., New Haven, CT. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
