Ly Chak, 62, of East Haven, CT died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice, Branford on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband of Yoeun Keun. Mr. Chak was born in Cambodia on March 12, 1962, a son of the late Hou Chak and the late Hong Kan, and had resided in Bridgeport, CT for twelve years before moving to East Haven in 1999. Up until his illness in 2022, he was a machinist for Medtronic, North Haven for thirty five years. In addition to his beloved wife, Mr. Chak is survived by a daughter, Sokah Roeun and her husband Veasna Roeun of Danbury, CT, two sons, Sokhoeun Chak and his fiancé Laurilyn Martínez of East Haven and Michael Chak and his fiancé Rany Yen of Cranston, RI, his niece Channy Phan and her fiancé David Heng of East Haven and seven grandchildren, Brooke and Chelsea Roeun, Jaxson and Julian Chak, Mia and Leah Chak and Aubrey Heng.
Mr. Chak's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 14th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. His funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Saturday, June 15th at 9:30 a.m. for a committal service that will take place at 10:00 a.m. at Walnut Grove Crematory, 817 Old Colony Road, Meriden, CT. washingtonmemorialfh.com
