Luís Manuel Carrasquillo Santiago

Luís Manuel Carrasquillo Santiago, 57, of New Haven, CT died suddenly at his home on Thursday, June 30, 2023. He was the beloved husband of twenty three years to Damaris Ivette Rivera Pérez. Luís was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico on December 23, 1965, a son of Luís Manuel Carrasquillo of Canovanas, PR and Francisca Santiago of Aibonito, PR and had resided in New Haven for the past twelve years. He was a barber with more than thirty years experience, and had worked for several area barber shops including Orlando's Barber Shop and El Jibaro, both of New Haven. He is also survived by two daughters, Franchesca Carrasquillo and Lymarie Rivera of New Haven, four sons, Luís Roberto Betancourt Rivera and Luís Arturo Flores Rivera of New Haven, Luís Manuel Carrasquillo of Cleveland, OH and José Antonio Carrasquillo of California, one sister, Linda Smith and her husband Oscar Meléndez Rolón of Aibonito, one brother, Luís Rene Carrasquillo Rivera and his wife Natalia, eight grandchildren, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Luís' family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, July 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
