Luís Angel Rivera

Luís Angel Rivera, 71 of New Haven died peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. Luís was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on January 18, 1951, a son of the late Olga Maria Sáez Ortíz. He lived in New York City for several years before moving to New Haven forty five years ago. Luís was a machine operator at Covidian in New Haven for fifteen years, retiring in 2014. He is survived by two daughters, Evelyn and Betzaida Rivera of Florida, two sons, Luís Rivera and Angel David Rivera of New Haven, a step-daughter, Jesenia (Abimael Pérez) Serrano of New Haven, seven step-sons, Mario (Yazmin) Sánchez, Gilberto (Ivelisse) Serrano, Jesuan (Dara) Serrano, Ismael (Lexy) Martínez, Reynaldo (Sujey) Martínez, Ricky Martínez and Christian J. Vázquez, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
